.060 iirc. will also be on your catalyst sticker in the engine compartment. And also in your owners manual.

Remove the IAC and see how dirty the plunger is.

Also, check the TECHINFO section for the procedure to test the throttle position sensor. Test it and see what it does.

Ed, should he go to a parts store and have them see if there are any diagnostic codes stored and if they are current or historical? - BC

Wouldn't hurt to see if there's any codes stored.

i have the elm 327 code reader and the only code i got was the p0171. also i do use premium gas all of the time. you definately have to with superchargers and turbos.
it spudders when i am trying to give it gas. and at idle it sometimes the rpms go way down like its going to shut off and then goes back up. but mainly when im driving and hit the gas it sputters at that point.

P0171 = System too lean (bank 1). Running lean would cause misfiring, etc. Have you checked fuel pressure?

Have YOU ever replaced the O2 sensor?

How many miles on the car?

The front O2 could cause issues, but not something this severe.

To check fuel pressure, you'll need to rent a gauge at a parts store, then it just screws onto the schrader valve on the front of the rail that looks identical to a tire stem. There will be a black rubber cap on it.

It's not a relief valve, as it doesn't relieve pressure if there's too much, but if that's what someone's called it, then yes, lol. It's on the front of the fuel rail.
