V8 emblem Update!

Post by sethjamesrimrodt »

My V8 emblem is half gone so I'm going to put a northstar emblem in its place but I'm not sure if I want gold or chrome, what do you guys think?

I vote for chrome... Gold badging should be reserved for Vogue Caddy's IMO. :)

That's what I was leaning towards, the only reason I conceded gold was because the cars color.

Gold would make it look somewhat along the lines of the old Aurora.

I say chrome, personally.

The gold may look ok, but I am a fan of consistency. All of the other badges are chrome, especially the Bonneville badge on the deck lid. Which is why I say chrome, the gold may look out of place, IMO.

My bonneville emblem on the back is starting to dechrome itself so it may too come off.

I think I am going to photo shop both emblems on before I pick.

I still like the chrome better, lol.

It blends better to me, and matches the GXP badges on the doors better, not to mention the polished silver tips. :P *OCD talking*

Mixing gold and chrome is terrible.

Go chrome.

I would take off all the badging...easier to sneak up on the unknowing amongst the road cattle.

The last thing people see on these cars is the tiny little badging, and unless they know Bonnevilles, they wouldn't know what's up anyways, so that's not really anything significant, Marc...

My vote.
Cleaner is better, IMO, ..., But not necessarily to sneak up on anyone.
I removed all of my badges within a week of getting home many years ago.
I just like the clean monochromatic look with no interruptions.
