I flushed out my brake lines the other day and noticed some green flakes in the new fluid coming out.
Discovered the greenish-black stuff was from inside the brake fluid reservoir... There is a film of green gunk along the bottom, and when I poured in the new fluid it unsettled it and created lots of green floaties, which were drawn into the lines. I didnt notice this at first (until I saw the green floaties coming out of the lines.)
I then sucked out all the fluid from the resevoir and tried to get as much of the green stuff out but was worried not to disturb it too much. Then refilled the reservoir.
These green floaties are not hard, they dissolve easily when I rub them.
Should I clean out the reservoir completely and suck out all the gunk, and re-flush the lines? Whats the best way to clean this out?
thanks
