Some pics of my 2000 SSEi

Post by Daveburt »

I was going to clean her up a little better before the pics...
Didn't even get to wax, interior or engine compartment, just too darn hot outside (102f/85% humidity  ).

So... I just took the pics anyway!
~80k original miles.

I know the engine compartment is filthy, didn't realize it had gotten that bad.

In the last pic I tried to show off my new tires (Yokohama Avid Envigors).
They were a little pricey but I love the way they ride and handle...

Photography is obviously not my forte...

Paint looks to be in awesome condition!

The front bumper cover and hood don't match up right, has it been hit before?

I never even noticed it until I took that low level pic, but your right...

It's never been hit since I've owned it ('06), but it does look llike it got bumped at one time or another.
Other than needing shocks and struts the suspension is very solid, so hopefully it wasn't bad... :???:

I've had quite a few nice cars, this is my 1st Bonnie and definetly my fovorite of them all!

Paint is awesome! I like how filled in the Pontiac on the bumper with red. Also, do you have a dash wood trim kit installed? I notice you have some extra plastic attached around the vents and radio. Also, you might wanna take some time and polish those headlights up a little. :) Beautiful car!

The paint does look great!
I think it's a carbon fiber kit.

I have a few extra traction control buttons if that's the reason you don't have one?

Thanks Folks!
Glad I'm not the only one who thinks it's a nice car... :beerchug:

The interior trim is carbon fiber, I assumed it was stock.
Thanks for the offer on the trac button sethjamesrimrodt, it's there, it just fell down inside the console...
I really need to take that apart and fix it anyway. One of the lights in my radio also went out and the cigarette lighter blows a fuse so I could fix it all in one shot.
I know there are some really skilled people on here (Harofreak  ), so if anyone has any tips on taking the dash/console apart it would be greatly appreciated!

NOS: When I bought the new tires they buffed the headlights up for $20 (they were alot worse!).
Not sure they're saveable, I may need to look for a new set online...

Nice car. Would not be much to fix those issues mentioned.

I also noticed it looks like one of those IAT gimmicks on the cruise module under the hood.

Yep, It is...
It was a moment of weakness (too many beers).

I posted a thread about it here:
viewtopic.php?f=8&t=33259

As most of the guru's have said it was a waste of money, but it hasn't caused any problems to this point so it's still on there. :P

It didn't require any wire cutting or anything so I thought I'd give it a shot since I was gullible enough to buy it.
If it becomes a problem I'll take it off...
