ALC Position Sensor

My compressor runs fine when I hook 12v to it, but the system is not working on it's own. The relay is fine and the fuse is good. Is there an additional fuse under the rear seat, or only the one under the hood? Also, how can I check the position sensor? I've cranked the car and disconnected the sensor arm from the swing arm and moved it all the way up to indicate that the car is sitting low, but the compressor never came on. I assume the sensor is bad, but would like to test it. I used an ohm meter, but got no difinitive readings that I could understand.
Please help.

Does the compresor run when you turn the key to ON and leave it there for up to 50 seconds? The system does a pressure check on start up.

Does the compressor circuit have power when the key is ON?

When the sensor changes position, the system waits for it be too high or too low for something on the order of 30 seconds before prompting the compressor to run to fill or for the system to vent pressure. Are you holding the sensor in an extreme for that long without breaking the high/low reading?

Is the car sitting low in the rear? that should happen if the compressor is never working and the system loses its air over a period of time.

How would I check this? I will check for power at the relay and the fuse.

Yes, I held the sensor arm in several positions for several minutes.

Once again, there are three wires going to the position sensorl do you know how to perform a test to see if the part is working?

Maxifuse under the seat. Its the ELC fuse.

Yeah, that was a dumb question.
Fuse is fine.
I have power to the fuses when in the on position.
Don't know now how to test the position sensor, or the box behind rear seat back in the trunk. Any ideas?

I'm in the same boat u are, i believe the answer is the sensor. Its the only thing i havent checked yet because i too, am not sure how...lol
