Close call.....

Imagine you beginning your day like any other day when it starts to rain. Then it starts to get really windy. Then it starts lightning and thundering really crazy. Next then you know as you are standing at the door looking at the weather a HUGE tree falls and completely destroys the wifes car. The crazy part about that it missed my 1993 Bonneville SE by 6"....(yeah you heard me 6") her 1997 isuzu rodeo saved my Bonnevilles life and now it's needs alot of bodywork probably totaled but the Bonneville is perfectly fine..... What a day..... Needless to say she is not happy because it's someone elses tree. She went through 3 cars the whole time I had my 1 Bonneville (going on 5 years now) the Bonneville is a survivor.

Thank goodness for insurance, and it is a really good thing nobody was anywhere near it when it came down.

Hate to say it, but plan on a total.

Yep, likely totalled. I just hope you have good coverage...

Or a neighbor with homeowners insurance at least. Homeowners insurance also has coverage for personal liability, which should cover this kind of thing. Plan on jumping through hoops though.

The lady that the tree belongs to is ducking me about the payments so I'm more likely gonna have to take her to court. Because she was told numerous times by the borough about the tree hanging over the property and that it was a hazard but nothing was done and of course it takes a tree falling on top of my wifes car for something to get done. Besides By the way she's ducking me like this I don't think she has home owners insurance. But believe me when I say she will be paying for this.

if your insurance company is worth anything, they would deal with the neighbor and their insurance. You should not have to deal with it.
