Stability control kicking in too much

Hey,
When making hard turns from a stop either right or left, the brakes kick in and the stability system active appears in the DIC. It is not consistent, but it usually happens at low speeds and when I need to cut across traffic.....

Any idea if it is a steering wheel position sensor starting to check out, or is it something deeper that I need to troubleshoot?
