elc pump compressor drier design

Given the lack of response to my last similar thread, I don't expect much different for this one, lol.
Now, the black canister attached to the compressor assembly of the elc pump, the drier, how are those assembled or better yet, diassembled? There has to be a way to disassemble the flippin things because several company's sell REMANUFACTURED units. How?? lol Any ideas? I've tried, but couldnt get the two pieces of the drier seperated. Was I over thinking the solution?

Not really sure, to be honest. Why do you want to pull it apart?

Because I'm cheap and I'm a firm believer in that real mechanics should try to repair parts before opting to just replace them. Many parts can simply be fixed rather than replaced, with patience and mechanical inclination. If I fail to reassemble a functional elc pump, then and only then would say "oh well, gotta buy a new one." lol
Now, I'm down to suspecting the drier because the pump runs and makes air but seems to be pushing weak air. Im leaning towards the possibility of a partially clogged drier and would like to open it up for inspection and hopefully a repair even its an ineffecient tempary repair at best. Plus, I wanna see what's in there. See, I can't lose. Just so happen to have two driers so...
