So Do You Think 4 Golf Bags & 4 Duffels Will Fit???

Post by 93 SSE 4 ME »

Heading to Myrtle Beach later this month for a few days with some buddies for a little golf trip. The Pontiac is the roomiest vehicle (other than pick ups) between us. Has anyone ever tried to fit 4 golf bags and four duffels in the trunk? I like the gas mileage of the Bonne alot better than my crew cab...

It will be a tight fit. And your mileage won't be great with 4 guys and all that gear either.

I think you might be able to fit all 4 golf bags, but I doubt you'll have room for the duffels at that point. Worth a shot though.

4 golf bags is pretty tight as it is. If the duffels are pretty soft and you can stuff, it might fit. The guys in the backseat might have one as an arm rest though. ;)

As my grandma used to say, "If it doesn't fit, make it fit."

Meh, probably wouldn't be that bad. Mid-20's. Still better than anyone's trucks...

On the highway it won't be bad, but in the city it'll take a plunge. I lose 2-3 MPG with 5-6 people in the car and their back packs and stuff. :???:

Well yeah but that's to be expected. Still going to be better than a truck...

Ill take comfort over packing a car. Now that I got my ball joint/control arm issue fixed, I am looking at 18-20mpg at 55 just on a 10-15 mile jaunt on a main country road at 60mph. Was getting a solid 15/16 before hand.(amazing what a vehicle does when its not fighting itself lol) Im willing to bet a beer that, on the expressway, it'd be pushing 24mpg. Trust me.

I've taken multiple trips with my wife and two kids in this car and gotten 30 MPG. Gas mileage won't be the issue. Even loaded with four of us I know it will get better than my diesel. Four golf bags fit behind the rear wheels. Cramming four small duffels will be the issue.

Four golf bags, four duffels, four pair of golf shoes, a rain jacket and two pillows in the trunk. Four guys in the car. 28 MPG average over 1250 miles. Plus several "nice car" comments. Why did they quit making these again???
