Right Turn Signal Won't Work

Post by Toyfare »

I have a 2002 SLE that the right turn signal no longer works. The lights on the front and back don't light up. I've checked the bulbs and they seem fine. I checked the fuses and they seem fine as well. Also when I turn on the hazards only the left side blinks. Do I need a new flasher?

It's possible. That, or a problem with the wiring. Check the connectors going to the flasher module, also.

When you say "seem fine" is that just a visual inspection? I often see bulbs with the fillaments attached but still burned out.

I took out the flasher and disassembled it to see if it had any visible issue. I didn't see anything wrong with it and put it back in the car. For some reason it works now. I'm happy I didn't have to shell out $125 for a new one.

I was going to say if all else fails, just pay some kid to sit in the back seat and point out the window when you want to signal
Fault lies with the man low enough to lay blame.
