No display, no sound

This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

No display, no sound

Post by Doom3524 »

Hello, so the radio display on my car its not working and I have no sound. First I figured the radio was done but I noticed all the rest of the lights on it were working and when I changed the station it still changed on my heads up display. That lead me to maybe the speakers with a bulb issue for the display so I pushed the on star button and the sound came through the speakers perfectly. So I assumed maybe a fuse issue and I checked them all and all are fine. I am now stumped. I am leaning towards a wiring issue but before I pull it all apart I was hoping someone may have had a similar issue and could give me a little advice.

Thanks in advance,
Ira

I am heading to the junkyard this weekend to see if I can just get a replacement stock radio. I think this will be my best option. What do you think I should expect to spend on one?

The Monsoon amp in the trunk might be bad.

Don't buy a replacement radio at the junk yard, as you'll need to have it programmed at the dealer to make it work.

If you send me your radio I can repair the bulbs, and I can even test all the feature on it.
