When should i change the belt?

Post by Liability »

The car has 154k km on it, i just changed p/s pump and the belt looked alright, on the tensioner there are 3 notches seperated by 1/4", im assuming those are for tuning? its outside the last notch, does that mean the belt is streched farther than supposed to?

should i change the belt anyways?

Yes.

The new EPDM belts don't crack like the old ones did, so it's hard to tell when they're worn or stretched. Replace it.
