Valve cover leak

Post by lubben3 »

A year and a half ago I replaced my lower and upper intakes. Now my mechanic says there is a valve cover leak. There does seem to be an intermittent fuel smell. Now there was a cracked plastic elbow that I had to have replaced just before the New Year in December after persistent coolant leaking. Question: If I have to replace the valve cover gaskets, is there anything else I should do at that time in the way of preventative maintenance?

Sounds like you either need the o-rings in the fuel supply line replaced at the fuel rail connection or your fuel pressure regulator is bad.

Just my 2 cents.
