93 SSEi Enduro Car
I was on the other forum a while back and posted about a 93 SSEi that I was gonna enduro race. Well that race was tonight. Got the car finnished just in time my dad took it down the road and said he hit 100 in second gear. When we go there the guy that we parked next to new it had a super charger right off the bat said we might get pennalized. 1 other guy had a bonnie, donno what model looked a few years newer than mine. So the race starts and the effin thing stalls on the second lap. Took a few minnits but I get it fired back up and go another 80 laps or so. It was acting real weird...didnt matter if I pressed the gas in an inch or held it to the floor, same amount of power. It seemed when I got it above 60mph or so it takes off and runs golden but it hard to keep that momentum. It was over heating the whole time. Exaust fell off and that seemed to help a bit but soon after stream started comming out the hood and it stalled again. Ten minnits later it starts back up and I keep goin. Never ran right after that I could barely get it above 50. Hit the wall once and smashed the windshield a bit. At about 10 laps to go (201 laps total) Something broke inside and it started making a loud clicking noise and I pulled it into the pits and it stalled and never started back up. I guess over all im happy with this car, at its peak I was probably the fastest car out there even when it was runnin bad I was flying by almost everyone. I remember some people wanted to know how the plastic fenders would hold up, the drivers side is fine and the passanger side is holding on by a thread and cracked down the middle but still on. Maybe Ill post some pic or vids later.

Re: 93 SSEi Enduro Car
100mph in second gear? Not possible. Tops out at about 80-85mph in second at the rev limiter with 2.97 gears, and is very bad for the car.
Besides, with a stock PCM it won't hold second gear. It'll only hold 2nd with an aftermarket PCM programmed to do so.

Re: 93 SSEi Enduro Car
Looked under the hood this morning in the light and turns out the belt that turns the supercharger and whatever else shredded off. So that might of been part of the problem.

that belt runs the w/p too, so you should do much better once thats fixed.

I'd be surprised if the motor survives much longer after the extended run with no water pump.

Re: 93 SSEi Enduro Car
I don't see padding... the tubes diameter is to small to be a roll cage with padding and it looks like there is rust on it furthering my point.

Put a rock guard under the passenger side of the engine to prevent more belt loss. I'll bet you dollars to donuts a rock bounced up and cost you that belt.
