Waste of money?

Chat about all things Bonneville (and related cars). Off-topic stuff should be in the lounge, and all mechanical problems should be posted in the proper forum.

Have never ran into that before. I was expecting a price of $19.99 when I first started reading through the description. My neighbor purchased the gadget that plugs into the cigarette lighter which supposedly increase MPG and he swears by it...I just roll my eyes and move on.

It was interesting to see there's no customer reviews on it...too expensive to try.

Waste. It might do something for a V8, not for your V6.

If you want an OBDII device to increase fuel economy, look into an UltraGauge or ScanGauge II. Those display fuel economy information in real time. They help train your right foot to drive more efficiently.

Also, check out MPG forums such as cleanmpg and ecomodder if you want to learn how to get better MPG without modding the car.

Learn from the mistakes of others, that way when you mess up you can do so in new and interesting ways.

Doesn't apply to the Bonne.
Part number 32002 fits the following vehicles:

2001-2004 BUICK REGAL GS Supercharged and Non-supercharged 3.8L V6
1998-2002 CHEVROLET CAMARO 5.7L V8
2000-2002 CHEVROLET CAMARO 3.8L V6
1997-2004 CHEVROLET CORVETTE 5.7L V8 (incl. Z06)
2001-2005 CHEVROLET IMPALA Supercharged and Non-supercharged 3.8L V6
2001-2005 CHEVROLET MONTE CARLO Supercharged and Non-supercharged 3.8L V6
1998-2002 PONTIAC FIREBIRD 5.7L V8
2000-2002 PONTIAC FIREBIRD 3.8L V6
I had one on my 98 Tahoe, and it helped power, but the fuel economy was marginal.
Bye Bye:

I think a pint of snake oil every tankful would give better results.
