what would you think?

Discuss washing, waxing and detailing information as well as interior/exterior cosmetic modifications. This includes neons, body, cosmetic wheels, etc. Even under the hood detailing.

I got another set of rims like this one(which i dont plan on using this one already got a new one) but i was thinking about powder coating them. Has anyone used powder coated rims and do they look nice?

It all depends on the color, really...

If they are older rims, I would just scuff them all down and use a heavy duty spray paint.

Not sure if you are looking for a winter rim set or show piece.

:stupid:

Powdercoating is expensive. You would probably spend as much per wheel for powdercoating as you would on a new set of black painted/PC'd 5 spoke wheels...

If you're sure you would like it, then your preference justififes the cost. But that being said, You can do some pretty nice work with a spray bomb these days. :btruestory:

Spend $25 or so and spray bomb them first. If you like it then strip the paint and have them powder coated.

Yes. Dupli-color makes wheel-specific paint in many colors, including black.

Powder coating also makes things heavy.
