Are you testing for voltage or current (amps)? Does the indicator lamp light up when you push the button?

Everything in your car is DC. Everything in your house is AC.

Do you need help reading resistance as well?

An easy way for you to remember (how I taught my kids) is that the A in AC reminds you of a steep roof pitch on a house.

You aren't going to get much voltage on that purple wire until the relay is activated. Try grounding point 87 on the relay and see if they light up.

Look at the electrical diagram that you posted. In the upper left (about 11 o'clock position of where you drew the purple line) is the fog light relay. The right hand side of the diagram of the relay shows the coil part of it, and on the bottom of that coil shows connection point 87. Ground that. If you pull the relay, you will see the corresponding numbers on the relay.

Using this techinfo article on fog lights with high beams, ground point B.

Just to be sure, you did have the relay inserted when you grounded that point?

Double check the FOG/DRL fuse, then make sure that the fuse is getting power. If the fuse is good, and getting power, trying swapping in a relay from another spot that has the same number. Have you checked the bulbs?

Check the fuse and see if it blew again. If it did, you have a short somewhere in the wiring. If it is still good, and still no lights, ground one of the black wires at the foglight. If they work then, you have a bad ground.
