Since most people just look at pictures to start anyway I'll save my paragraph for the end of my post
This was on a spare headlight I had and just wanted to see if I liked it or not, I think I do, but need to see it in daylight and both sides done to be sure.
I removed the actual chrome piece and tinted it with VHT. Then reassembled it as normal, So It's like having a darker version of a cleared GXP, I went a little dark with it, but I don't think it hurts the look...
I do have progress pics in a how-to manner if anybody wants me to post them, I will...
Opinions? Thoughts?
And don't shoot me, I know it's dark outside, It's October in Chicago, that happens. I'll get more pictures when There is an orange-yellow orb in the sky providing nature with ample lighting for pictures.

To tint the bulb caps they have to be removed, which is kinda tricky as you sort of have to bend them a little to remove them or you risk damaging the light reflector. Not really hard at all, just tricky on the first one until you know how to do it then really easy on the rest.

It's not as bad as I thought it would be especially for how dark I tinted it. I made up my mind, I'm tinting the other side tomorrow then I'll swap lenses, should have pics up this weekend of that and the center tail!

How bright are your blinkers (during the day) with that tint? Not sure how safe that's going to be, considering I can't see your parking lights on....

You can see them fine when they flash...I do want to find brighter bulbs though, maybe LEDs, but for now these work just fine...I could see the turn signals flashing whenever I turned them on at midnight on my way home last night

After, what has it been now, a month or so? My Low-Beam bulb caps faded, to the color gold...So I'm painting my spare set right now with high-heat engine enamel. SO, lesson learned here? VHT corner chrome pieces? GOOD. VHT bulb caps? NO! Use High-heat engine enamel for bulb caps? YES!
Meanwhile, Booze, you want a set of gold bulb caps?
