good evening from Nebraska!
Hello, I'm Jay; long time reader first time writer. I am buying a 96 SE from a good friend of mine. Pictures to come tomorrow. This forum has been a tremendous help with the minor bits of works I've had to do to it.
Re: good evening from Nebraska!
Welcome, has all the important maintenance been kept up?
How about the LIM, have they been updated to the aluminum framed LIM gaskets and the UIM updated with the APN part?
Just had to ask.

It's well maintained, but I'm not sure about the intake manifolds. I'm going to do that as time and money allows. How do you put up pics?

Welcome to the forum!! Were always very anxious to see pictures of any Bonneville, so get them posted up!!
To post pictures, upload them first into photobucket. Once there uploaded there you can click on the image, or hover on the picture (when viewing as an album) which will show a list of 4 options..simply copy and paste the "Image URL" link into the thread and the picture will be displayed.

Even more interesting is the combo of bench seat/column shift and digital climate control.
And for 253k miles it really is in good shape.

I really want to get 500,000 miles out of it. I've got a little work to get there, but I'm sure this forum will be a great help!

I love the color of your car. She sure doesn't look like she's seen 253,000 miles. Amazing!

Re: good evening from Nebraska!
500K miles would be a heck of an accomplishment..and looking at the condition of your car..it could make it. Sure won't get eattin away by the rust like we have in the northern states...
Have you had any work done to the Engine or Trans??

Re: good evening from Nebraska!
no engine or trans work I know of aside from filter changes. I'm waiting for a radiator to come by UPS tomorrow; mine has a crack.
And yea, it is a blue interior. I remember when my friend bought this car in 03, I really dug the color. I told him I'd buy it if he ever wanted to sell it.
And now I am, because the dealer wouldn't give him much for trade-in when he got his new car!

The interior color might actually be Majestic Teal...lol
You have an odd ball of an SE... Has to be a 1SC Bonneville with a few added options...
I looked at your pics again... It is blue...* hangs head in shame * LOL
