August COTM as a convertible anyone?

Post by gmguy64 »

Yeah, I got really bored one day and thought I would do a little photoshopping. That custom top gave me the idea of a possible 1992-99 convertible. Tell me what you think, maybe someone will decide to hack their top off?

Otherwise nice, but the small "side windows" shouldn't be there. Compare:

Another things is that a convertible is not just a cupé with a chopped roof? The body need to be strenghted somehow?

There have been numerous photoshops of coupes, convertibles, coupe convertibles, etc.

Also remember, the roof is integral structure, even some sunroof installs are iffy.

If you can address the structure and reinforcement concerns, you can have some fun.

I disagree. I think those little windows give it a nice, vintage feel. Quite frankly, I think that if my Bonneville had had one of those tacky fake convertible top, I'd saw it off, too. Sorry, but I really hate those things.

That would definitely be a huge problem if someone were to actually try it. Is Monster Garage still going? Maybe I should pitch my idea to them lol
