The US mirror doesn't have the seam above where it mounts to the door. Does it fold or something?

I'm curious. What's that thingamajigger to the right of the front valve cover gasket?

The mushroom thing? That's the EGR. You had a 93, I'd expect you to know that!

I believe they fold inwards. I haven't actually done this yet though!

Paintless dent removal man came out and did it for me. He didn't have to even take the inside of the door apart - he had tools to go down inside the door. Only cost £50. Much cheaper than a bodyshop repair. :bwoohoo:
