Good Brake Pads
I've been told to replace the brakes on my lacrosse. I've been looking around at different brands and having trouble deciding. I got a flyer from the stealership offering a Delco Durastop brake pad job for $89. Has anybody here had any experiences with the durastop brakes? Any other recommendations would be appreciated.

Who told you to replace your pads and why? Are they making noise or feel warped? Have you looked at them yourself? If there are less than 50k miles on the car, I'd consider leaving the rotors alone if they're flat and not scarred up, if it's over 50k, I'd replace the pads and rotors for extra safety.
Also, NAPA Ultra Premium stuff is good, but any top-shelf stuff should work just fine (Except Duralast). Don't cheap out on your brakes, they may just save your life.

The dealer told me to at my last service. I saw them they looked worn, the car has 46k miles on it

If your rotors aren't scored or warped, you can probably re-use them as-is. Don't have them turned. Or you can replace them for added peace of mind. My statements above still hold true.

Agreed on the NAPA Pads/Rotors. I have 35ishk on them and they still work great. I plan on buying the NAPA Shoes/Drums soon since my rear brakes are due now...

I use the NAPA ceramic pads....I've had good luck with them..... Someone else mention "don't cheap out"..... I concur....never EVER take a $$ shortcut when it comes to a safety related part....

Dad's brakes on his GXP were grinding, I pulled it all apart and discovered the driver's side caliper was stuck, which ground the inside pad into the rotor, which trashed both. Had to replace both calipers, both rotors and the pads. Always remember that when you do brakes, you have to replace the same parts on both sides, never just replace ANYTHING on one side, unless it's just a temp repair to get you off the side of the road, etc. Replace the other side ASAP in that situation.
