please help me

Post by mrsnrobinson »

I have a 96 bonneville se 3800 series. Not supercharged. After driving for about 30 to 45 mins the rpms jump erracticly and the battery gauge jumps as well as the oil gauge. The car feels like its going to take off on its own then starts hesitating and surging. So far i have replaced the coil packs, ignition control module., fuel pressure regulator, thermostat, altenator, battery, spark pkugs, wires, and the crank position sensor. The throttle body was cleaned and the lower intake manifold was replaced as well as the gasketa. Running out of money!!!! Help please!!!! 78,000 miles

..did you say it wasnt throwing any codes or a service engine light/check engine light ??

kinda sounds like the symptoms of a cam shaft position sensor on its way out :???: not for sure though

also, call me crazy but how are your battery terminals?

Funny you should mention that. The other day the car wouldnt start at all and i had it towed the shop. They said the motor in drivers seat was bad and draining the battery. But does that explain the problems i have been having? Seems to easy lol
