A few little questions...

Post by 93Bonneville »

I have a few questions that I have not been able to get the answer for, so I decided to ask here.

1. On the dashboard is the "Systems Monitor" which shows a diagram of a car. It is NOT the digital one. In the entire time we have owned the car, all it has done is say "Check Oil" when starting on the hood part of the diagram, and then "Check Gauges" when we were low on fuel, on the roof part on the diagram. Is this thing supposed to show when a door is ajar or do anything else? If so, what is it supposed to do, and what do you all think is wrong?

2. I finally found out the code for the bogging/no power issue. A faulty TPS. Now that it is replaced, the car runs much better. But I still can't help but ask...Are these cars supposed to give any "tire action" if you floor them taking off. Ours takes off well, but doesn't even give a chirp. I know its a larger car...but...

3. I noticed this car has an electric trunk release mechanism. There is also a hole in the drivers side door panel...Is that were a trunk release button would be?

That is all for now...Thanks to anyone who has anything to contribute in advance...

I would definetley like to know the answer to #1. Same Boat same problem. Though I also get a BRAKE light over the trunk area of the display when my e brake is on.

As far as spinning the tires I have a 94 se that wouldn't before I lowered the gearing. Now it does but not for very far. My cart is an SE and is not Supercharged. I thought the SSE was and that should spin your wheels big time

1: If you have the owners manual, it'll show all the DIC will tell you.

3: Your button may have been pushed into the door. Have you dug in there?

Ive been meaning to buy an owners manual anyways. So I will do that. Thanks.

I did a little digging around in there, I tried to remove the door panel, things started breaking. Stopped.

It has a hack job alarm on it, so they may have just taken the button out and used the wiring for the alarm.
