A/C Issue
My 01 Park Avenue is having an issue with the A/C. I keep having to add refrigerant every few weeks to keep the AC ice cold. this last time I noticed kind of a hissing sound in the vicinity of the charging port/accumulator. Also a gurgling sound was coming from the accumulator. Does it sound like the accumulator has failed?

Re: A/C Issue
when you shut the system down there is the normal hissing sound of the system equalizing. but it could alos be a bad shrader valve. Or a bad O-ring. the only true way to tell where is fill the system with some cool juice (aka R-134a) with teh UV dye in it. then get a uv light after a day or so running it and shine it about, and you should find your leak.
If indeed it is a sharder valve it is an easy fix, any way you cut it you will have to evac the system to repair the leak.
