A stretched 1968 Pontiac Bonneville?
My spouse's cousin took this photo in Texas recently. My thought was that it looked like a stretched 1968 Pontiac Bonneville. Stretched by whom is an interesting question. Did some guy just weld a couple bodies together? As if the regular version isn't long enough at almost 19 feet. This thing has to be around 30 feet long!

That was definitely pro-built, probably by a company that does limos. I do like Cody's idea, definitely a possibility.

That type of vehicle was pretty common in the '60s and early '70s, before they started making small buses on van platforms like they do today. My guess is it was made by a company that did a lot of ambulance and hearse conversions. I remember seeing stretched checker cabs like that when i was a kid. If I recall correctly, the rear of those were configured like a station wagon instead of a sedan with a trunk.

Yep, you both are right on. Many airport taxis were built like that back in the 60's and 70's, and were built by professional companies that did ambulance & hearse conversions. They look about like a clown car with all those doors, but that really is the way they did them!

Hard to believe they built those so long ago.
Man I must be getting old. I remeber those and others driving around downtown Pittsburgh when I was a kid.
Thank God I never grew up.
Hmmm a Goat Limo???????
