Sounds like a blend door actuator.
Use SEARCH and type in blend door. There have been a lot of posts about this recently.

Please don't post mechanical problems in General Chat. I'll move this to the proper section for you.

Re: 2000 Bonnevile AC
If the driver's side is just warmer than the passenger, it could be caused by a low charge on the A/C system. If it is actually hot, with little if any change when the driver's temperature is changed, then the driver's air mix actuator is the likely culprit.
Remove the lower part of the driver's side dash, then look up toward the center of the car to find the air-mix actuator. This diagram and a picture that Harofreak00 took shows you what you'll be looking for. Adjust the driver's temperature setting and see if the actuator moves. If not, it or the wiring is probably bad.

Re: 2000 Bonnevile AC
Having the same problem with my 2000 SSEi. I'm also seeing an occasional Air Bag warning light which will then go out after a turn or two. Any correlation?

Between the A/C and air bag? Not likely. Have it scanned to see what is setting off the air bag light.

Re: 2000 Bonnevile AC
Wondered if the actuator and air bag shared a common ground which if loose might cause both problems.
But from your comment it doesn't seem a possibility.
As to a R&R on the actuator, How hard is it to remove on the 2K? Is there a good resource manual for the procedure? How about sources for part other than new from GM dealer?
Thanx for your insight.

Re: 2000 Bonnevile AC
I didn't think it was terribly difficult task, but it's a tight fit that's for sure. I have replaced one on each side of mine in just a few hours.
As far as replacement parts I'd recommend PM'ing Andrew(harofreak00) first, he'll likely have exactly what you need for a great price. But if you're looking for new try RockAuto or GMPD, both links can be found on the our links section if you click up at the top of the page.

Re: 2000 Bonnevile AC
I had the identical problem. I filled the AC refrigerent my self with a DIY kit. Still had the problem. Before I tore my whole dash apart for the actuator fix I went to a professional AC mechanic. He purged my system and refilled it.
AC IS BACK TO NORMAL and works like a charm as it did when new. As a matter of fact I'm turning it down now as it's sometimes too cold!
His comments to me were "the sytem is so precise with it's amount of refridgerent that not enough will cause this issue or too much can drop the temps by at least 10 degrees" "It only holds about 2-1/2 lbs of refridgerent so if your not exact it will give you these symptoms and one of the few ways to measure is the method he used above".
That's from the expert....not me!

Re: 2000 Bonnevile AC
ts true that its a pretty precise science... Generally the Bonnevilles range from 2.0 Lbs to 2.25 for the most part... But you also have to pay attention to the system pressures both low and high... I try to keep mine charged to factory specs..
AC is a must here...lol
