Re: [Q] Plastic Tray Headliner
If its similar to a 92 se. Remove all the handles above the windows along with the mirrors and trim between the doors. Then you should be able to pop the roof liner out, then you can access the plastic compartments near the rear view mirror. You can simply pop out the plastic area with lights near the mirror with a flat head screw driver. Be sure to notice wear the electric wires go. viewtopic.php?f=14&t=25779

OK, so just so we are clear, the headliner must come out? Thats good, since I it's sagging and it must be replaced.
Thanks for tut, I already had it opened in my web browser :p

Nvm, I marked and cut wires. I assumed thats what you meant. Now how do you remove the A-Pillars? It's like the only thing keeping the headliner up there, besides the door "gaskets".

The sun visor wires have connectors, no need to cut. They are usually taped or stapled to the headliner, just give them a tug and they will come farther out. A pillars remove like the rest, friction tabs in slots in the pillar. Pull at a 45 degree angle from the windshield.

Re: [Q] Plastic Tray Headliner
You don't need to cut anything. You might not have to remove the rear handles above the doors if you only want to access the plastic area's above the rear view mirror. For the driver and passenger mirrors you'll see two tiny black screws, remove them. you'll see the black electric wire. its taped to the roof but there is a disconnecter part several inches into the hole. Now on the other end of the mirrors you'll see another plastic part. Take a flat head screw driver and loosen the center plastic part. You should see an indent on that part. Then pull the loosened part out. Next you should pull that part out with your hands. If you do that then you should be able to disconnect the wires. Next remove the handle above the right passenger door. You need needle-nose pliers to pull out the two obvious plastic parts behind the handle, then you can pull that part out.

Re: [Q] Plastic Tray Headliner
Fack.. well they are already cut. No biggie. but would of been nice not to rush and wait for a reply :p
Same goes for the side handles about the wires I assume?
Btw, thanks for the input guys! Trying to beat the sundown on this one!
Oh I got all the backseats out for easier removal!

Re: [Q] Plastic Tray Headliner
The roof is also attached in the rear of the car, you just pull on it and pop it back in later. I guess just splice the wires back together. Same goes for the wires attached the rear handles. Unplug those then plug them in later. Its very tricky trying to reattach the roofs center-console because there is the visible plastic part you see and a plastic part holding it up on the other side. You have to reattach the center-console before you reattach the roof.

For the rear handles remove the two plastic parts similar to the ones above the passenger side. Also pull the plastic coat-hook part out. Then you can pull on the handle to remove them. Then the roof should only be hanging on by the back above the middle seat, just pull on that. Remove the trim between the doors if you haven't done so yet.

Thanks SilverBird but that has already been done. What I am asking is what is the best way to slip it out of the car without ripping it apart? Like previously stated, I pulled the backseats out to get it out the rear doors but I am not exactly sure how I should turn/twist it.

Re: [Q] Plastic Tray Headliner
I believe it involves reclining the front seats, and coming out through the driver rear door.
