NEW PICS!!

Post by haney07 »

After a good clay bar and wax, she is ready for summer! With all the mods I did to her over the winter, she looks the best she ever has! Proud to say I LOVE THIS CAR! :)

Nothing like a glossy black paint scheme...and your setting for the shots is lovely...nicely done!

Just as a side note, I read in an issue of Car and Driver (I believe it was) an article about shooting your car for best effect. I think we've all done shots on grassy fields ( I know I have) but these guide lines suggested staying away from that bu saying cars are creatures of asphalt, so shoot them there, and to wet the surface if possible for slight reflection and light bounce. They also suggested avoiding any backdrop item such as a pole or tree positioned so it seems to "grow out" of the car itself. Lastly be wary of surrounding things that reflect in the surface of the car's paint which may lend an off-color appearance.

Just thought I would pass those things on as food for thought for your next photoshoot...and if youre like me, there will always be another one soon. Now that the weather is breaking and days are longer, I'm looking forward to getting some fading sunlight/evening shots that will put my white/gold-tricoat paint to work :)

Keep up the effort on your ride, its a looker (and some dual exhaust with chrome tips would look sweet!)

Thanks guys, I live out in the country so it was the best I could come up with for now. I did it at sunset hoping the light wouldnt reflect too bad. Only the driver's side picture showed the light so I did most of the pictures from the passenger side. Just wanted to capture it before it gets dirty again!

Just hoping to get a nomination for COTM at some point ;)

Thanks for the compliments!! Hope to get more :)

The car looks great! Really like the way the black looks with the chrome rims. I have considered (If I ever do it) going with a dark rim on my car, but when the chrome wheels are shined up...really love the way it looks!

Certainly a sharp car and a great COTM candidate!
