2000 SSEi first pics

Post by shSSEi »

Finally getting some pictures up of my 2000 SSEi. No real story behind how I got this car, just 17 years old looking for my first car and found this one at a local used car dealer. It had just over 103k on it as well as some normal wear, although the interior was in really good shape. The dealer had put new (used) tires on it as well as brakes and fuel pump. I've had this car for about 3 months now and, after looking at this site a bit, got inspired to clear the corners. Originally I wasn't going to tint the tail lights, but after causing some discoloration in the middle reflector, I figured I might want to cover that up. But anyway, enough talk, here are the pics. Hope you enjoy 'em!

Also cleaned the rims up quite a bit. They were a mess!

Probably gonna be debadging it here in the next month. Hopefully after that I can get some good pics with my SLR.

I like what you've got going on there! Only thing I would have done differently is left the top part of the center tails un-tinted.

I would've loved to leave that part un-tinted, but that happened to be where the discoloration was.

Yeah, I put premium in it. The price may eventually kill me though haha

Very nice Bonneville! I love SSEi's. I'm also 17 and my Bonneville is my first car. Greatest decision I ever made buying it from that little old lady. viewtopic.php?f=9&t=21849 Great to have somebody of similar age on here too! :bwoohoo:

Very nice look! Most cars I say go with the Silverstar turn signals, but I actually really like the look of the standard amber bulb and the way it contrasts with the headlamp and the paint color :)

I am thinking they are not though, the rears are off and are amber bulbs.

They're just plain amber bulbs, glad you like the look! Although not sure about the look of the rear signals, considering tinting that part as well.

You'd get worse mileage and not save any money if you didn't run premium.

More info you might be interested in: www.dex-cool.net (I noticed the orange death in your underhood pic).

Nice looking car. Great choice for your first!
