to be on the safe side, so you dont get any float, id go with stronger springs

Yea I suppose. But atthat point if I was gonna do springs they would then be 1.85-1.9 rockers with 120 lb springs and headers.

Current mods - FWI, Intense 1.0 PCM, 3.4"- 3.5", Intense MPS, AL 104s, 180 Stat , Intense/TG shiftkit, Aeroforce Interceptor scan gauge
Upcoming mods- 1.9 rockers, 105#springs, Headers, 103s, 3.3, tune..

Did you do them all at once? And how was the difference? I'm still debating headers

Re: rocker install at intense!
Honestly you could run 90# (LS6) springs w/ 1.9's and be fine. It all depends on how high you want to rev the engine. The rate of the spring has less to do with how much you want to lift as it does with how high you want to rev the engine. The stiffer the spring the higher you can rev w/o floating the valves.
Bye Bye:

Re: rocker install at intense!
The lift plays into it too, not just the rpm. The higher the lift, the more distance the spring needs to return the valve. This will hold true at 1 rpm or 7,000 rpm. You won't see problems until the higher rpm's are reached, but lift, spring rate and rpm all play hand in hand.
If lift gets too radical, and spring rate becomes too high to compensate, then stronger valves are needed. Also stronger locks and retainers. Full roller rockers will help longevity too with big cams.

Re: rocker install at intense!
i had the headers first,
but got the springs and rockers done all at once.
the difference was noticeable, as far as power goes,
but nothing extreme.
