The Chicken's little brother

Post by myfirstbonnie »

We have been looking at cars to replace the Chicken as Wendy's daily driver. We looked at a few Regals and Lacrosses from Buick, but when we saw this, she fell in love.

Introducing the Rubber Chicken's little brother aka Wendy's DD:

One of the requirements for her new car was a moonroof, this one has the 4 stage and she likes it a lot.

Very nice! Still sucks what happened to the chicken, but now you won't be as rushed to finish it, as you will have enough cars for you two and the kids.

The 89 will be getting passed on to Kathy. She pretty much has it all the time now. I will get the Chicken running again and then we will most likely get rid of the Suburban.

This means I get to do whatever I want to the Chicken. Thinking of the next mods now!

We don't even know what's wrong yet, so how can you say that? My gut feeling right now and what happened, I am thinking it did a Haro and broke a valve spring.

We will know by Sunday night as long as we get back Saturday night.

2006 was the year you could get that 3.9 GTP sedan with a six-speed manual  Pretty rare to see one though.

Matt, that's exactly what I was thinking, you broke a valve-spring and grenaded it.

I told her I would name it after a male chicken and I don't mean rooster. (keeping the language family friendly). She quickly said no to that.

Updated original post with a few more pictures.

As for moving, I think it moves as well as the 2k did stock. The DBW does take some getting used to. Hard to explain, but you can tell a difference.

I noticed a BIG difference w/ DBW on our new suburban, it's a lot harder to feather it, as there's a lag. I plan on getting a tuner for it to reduce that.

Does it have XM?

Nice car, black for the win! I expect 1/4 mile times shortly...

I'm sorry to hear about the Chicken, I couldn't believe it had another catastrophic failure. I was also thinking you had broke a valve from either valve float or a broken spring. It happened to a friend of mine's turbo civic while it was on the dyno; sent shrapnel thru the whole engine and destroyed the head.
