The newest car in the stable

Post by bonnevillain »

2002 Volvo S40, It's actually my sister's. Spent the nice weekend working on it. I have to say, it was a joy to replace the plugs on a straight 4 cylinder engine. The just pull straight up! Sup with that? :dontknow:

It is in really nice shape, and actually moves pretty well for a 1.9L

Not bad at all. Definitely gonna get good mileage and be safe.

Where do you find tiny wiper blades for the headlights? Dealer?

Funny enough, the passenger side blade was gone completely. I was able to cut down the rubber from an old wiper blade and slide it on the metal bracket that was there. Not perfect but it works for now.

hardest part of doing plugs on my car? Getting the coil pack wiring harness off.. It is nice!

S40 are nice, i considered a turbo one, but they were $$ at the time.

Yeah this one is turbo. I'd say it's about equal to an N/A bonneville in speed. It just doesn't have that off the line torque.

<------ Jealous. I am a HUGE Volvo fan. I've always wanted a Turbo wagon, early 240 Turbo or a 740 Turbo. I like the 850 series, but they are FWD.

I almost bought a '64 PV544. It was in very good condition and the guy only wanted $1200 for it.

Dude, if it has 4 wheels and a motor, you'll have almost bought it.
