99 Boneville SSEi Engine Misfire. Had anyone had this?

Post by erinhardesty »

My Pontiac Boneville is misfiring, constant. The diagnostic report says "Miscellanous Misfire". Spells like gas, really bad. I spend $45, every few days to fill it up and drive only 5 miles to work. I try and excell and it will not go! I step on it, the rpms go all the way up but the car will not excell. Then all of a sudden, it will catch ( I dont know proper term), and I will be flying.
I have recently had spark plugs changed, wires, iginition coil, filters cleaned, MFAS, catalyst converter replaced. It is running worse than ever, and I dont have any more money to pour into it, not to have it fixed. Mechanic said cylinders #2 and #4 were having issues.I dont think its safe to be driving it. I just want to see if someone may have heard of this before? and can offer some advice?

Thank you,
Erin

I'm no expert and I'm sure someone else will chime in but it sounds like you have a gas leak somewhere and the tranny is slipping.

You should post this in the 92-99 section for better visibility..

Not sure whats wrong with your car... I'd say either coils or injectors...

when you put the wires on you did them one by one right? No wires are mixed up?
