hey bonneville world, its been a while. anyway i'll get right down to it. Basically winter weather is messing with the lights in my car I guess is the easiest way to put it. Basically when i start my car, the only lights that will be on are my fogs and main driving lights. The sidemost lights, and my tail lights along with the dash lights (except the PRND, and the system info.) will stay completely dark. The time it takes for the lights to kick on varies by how cold it is outside. For example last night was 11 degrees F, the lights took 7 minutes to kick on. I've noticed when it is mid to high 30's they will kick on in just about 2 minutes. If anyone has any info on this i would love it. i've already been pulled over for the problem. thanks guys.

Do the lights come on normally if you turn them on manually?

Re: electrical or a malfunction somewhere?
How about when the wipers are turned on? If not, check for power to the coil of the HDLP Lo Bm relay in the underhood fuse box. Terminal 85 or 86. The only thing that I can find in common with all of those lights is the dash integration module. If no power there, check the DIMR fuse in the rear box. You may have a defective DIM.

Re: electrical or a malfunction somewhere?
well, after wiping snow off my windows numerous times without having the lights kick on, i know the wipers wont trigger them. Archon i truly appreciate the help. In my case, i bet it is the DIM. So final questions, how do i go about fixing it if in fact it is the DIM. Do i just put a new dash in or fuse etc... and how can you test a relay terminal? that's one thing i've never had to do before

Do you have, or know how to use a multimeter?
