I had to change out the stereo though. The rear speakers were blown.

What a huge difference with a flash drive modern deck and high power 6x9's.

I even got the cruise control to work. All it needed was a brake switch. Ya, you know I'll never use it but "others" might. My wife likes to cruise and rest her healing foot.

Not planning to do anything else to this little FaartFire.

It needed a good sound system because it has no noise isolation and you can hear every bit of road noise.
Sound Deadener!!

I plan to use some roofing tar in the spring. Much cheaper and probably lighter than a lead based deadener.

2600 lbs is 1200 lbs lighter than my Bonne. ;)

Still working on the first tank of fuel. Plenty left and wife is using it every day while I use the Jeep.

LOL don't knock the quality of roofing tar. It works wonders. On the outside or inside. :booty2:
Just brush it on. It sticks like glue, dries quickly with no odour and stays flexible.

I learned that trick living in a harsh northern climate where auto bodies never lasted longer than 4 years before they completely rusted out from winter driving. ;)

I gotta believe ya on this one.... i've heard about that before . I wanna run truck bed liner on the bottom of my cab on the blazer. Then use the POR-15 or chassis saver along the frame rails... i used the rustoleum Hammered-on paint and i was real suprised at how that stuff works. But, i want something even more solid when I have the money.

The problem with other products like bedliner is you need a completely clean surface for good bonding. Only works well on a new car.

Roofing tar on the other hand will stick well with just a good cleaning to make sure all the loose stuff is off. ;)

....and it's a lot less expensive.
