1. Removed and filled in the IAT location on the silicone coupler with some hi temp RTV silicone.

2. Cut out an 8" circle in some aluminum to cover the charcoal canister hole. Then I drilled a 2.5" hole closest to the fender. Cutting slots to the outside diameter of the filter with a saw, and then bending the tabs up.
This is how I made the tabs that would clamp around the filter and support it at the same time. Also started to untape the wire loom to relocate the IAT and the EVAP air solenoid wires. They are long enough to reroute, if you are crazy enough to do this step (at least in my 99).

3. Relocated IAT in aluminum coupler with a new PCV grommet for an old honda. Pop riveted the aluminum filter support to the inner fender well where the canister hole is. Sprayed everything with some truck bed coating to help protect it from rusting/corroding from nasty road salt. Mounted the PCM tray to the radiator support. I also relocated the drivers side horn underneath the drivers side headlight. Having untaped the loom let me clean up some of the wiring mess that was there before.

4. Took the cup that held the EVAP canister and cut off a couple inches from the top. Ran a couple screws through the bottom with spacers, and also used one of the bolts for the ABS support bracket (hence the spacers). I cut the bracket down for the EVAP air solenoid and pop riveted it to the side of the EVAP cup.

5. Bought some new hose for the EVAP canister and connected it. I straightened out some of the steel line that comes from the purge solenoid on the valve cover and rebent it using a tubing bender. This let me get the line a lot closer and let me use less rubber. Cut a few inches off the Intense tubing and installed in place. I did buy one more good clamp to replace the one from K&N for the install. Wanting a finished look for the PCM, I decided to cover the top of it for looks. So I cut the top cover down and used some velcro to attach it.

6. Some finished views.

7. Looking up from the bottom, and no the filter is not rubbing up against anything under here.

8. Engine bay shot and dirty bumper.

9. It is true that a gutted out air box won't even compare to one of these kits. I am a believer in this kit now, especially with how it woke up my N/A 3800. I know that all the extra work that I did is not required, but I just wanted it to look like the factory might just have offered it this way.
