Exhaust

Post by Trums2 »

Anybody know what the nut size is to connect the exhaust pipe to the manifold of a 2002 SSEi? I can't find a store near by that can tell me for sure.

Surprisingly, it's one of the only 'even' millimeter fasteners on the car. A 10, 13, and 15mm can disassemble nearly the entire engine. Those on the exhaust should be 14mm though. Some of them are studs with 13mm nuts on them to hold other stuff, but the hex size of the stud/bolt on the manifold itself is 14mm.

I guess I need to reword that. I need to buy new nuts for it and I can't seem to find the right thread size.

The nuts on the studs? For what purpose? Where are they located? Why do you need new?

A mechanic took them off and did not replace them so I need new ones. I need to know what the thread size is so that I can get new nuts

Ok, I'm ASSUMING you mean the nuts that go on the studs themselves, or the studs? Do you need to replace them to hold something? If so, what? Which ones specifically? We need more information to be able to help you. We don't have the luxury of being able to inspect your motor personally.
