Car Surging?

Post by irish91983 »

Hi All

I'm having some issues with my car. I noticed for a while now every once in a while when I would be driving my car would kinda surge like it wants to stall but catches it self, but it would be so minor. Now I noticed its doing it alot more and today it actually stalled and after it started up fine then i was driving and it kept surging. The car would die down then the rpm's would rev up and the ses light would come on for a second, but no codes are stored.

Any ideas on what would cause this?

Thanks
Keith

Hmmm I think I did it over the summer. But would that cause the SES light to come on?

I dunno, but it will only take 20 minutes to find out. In my opinion, the fuel filter is THE most neglected maintenance item, and it really should be the first.

Sure, about ten, but when I hear hoofbeats, I think of horses, not zebras.

there are quite a few possibilities of what it could be. like was said before check the fuel pressre and filter.

could also be a bad coil sometimes
