Re: Running 110 Leaded race fuel daily
Ok heres a few of the vids
Simple 0-80 run
http://s107.photobucket.com/albums/m288 ... nt=004.mp4
The 1st part of this one is a 3/4 (ish) throttle steep hill climb Riding in 3rd gear with boost
, the second 1/2 is a 60-100 run @ WOT
http://s107.photobucket.com/albums/m288 ... nt=002.mp4
And this is the run that worried me , and I got off it right away .. WOT @ 70 mph

In the last vid, you were cruising @ 70 then went WOT? The comp retarded timing to allow the TC to unlock. 100% normal, and good.

Ugh As soon as I see that gauge jump I freak out... Im wondering why it did it at WOT @ 70, like in the last vid, But barely moved in the 60-100 run in the 2nd part of the 2nd vid

That is the problem with too much info. Sometimes info is bad if you aren't schooled enough to intrepret what it means. KR isn't always bad, it's designed to protect parts. KR when going WOT from cruise is allowing the trans to unlock the TCC and downshift if needed, then allow full timing.

Exactly the reason I would like to get it tuned. When I actually do see Randy for a tune, Im sure alot will make sense to me. My problem is Im alwasys over cautious.. Hence me always asking alot of questions

Okay, so youre running an intense level 1 kit, right? Based on what Ive been learning, Im surprised you dont have higher KR numbers, especially on a 3.4". I imagine headers will help a great deal, as will tuning for your particular combo. Im sure some of the more knowledgeable guys could use your O2 sensor readings from these runs to help determine if the issue is fueling related.

Sometimes you can have less than complete combustion resulting in deposits.Shannoww wrote:How ?willwren wrote:Remember, too high of an octane is bad as well.

When a fuel starts to burn, any fuel goes all the way.
Octane is just the resistance to the fuel burning in the absence of a flame front (i.e.hot spot or end gas auto-ignition). Flame speeds, and completeness of combustion don't change.

Re: Running 110 Leaded race fuel daily
Ok I'm now on my second tank of 93 after running the 110. And I don't know if it's just me but I feel a pretty noticeable difference. When I was running 70/30 it seemed snappier, quicker , ran smoother, down and upshifted smoother and pulled harder with less boost. The boost numbers didn't change but under a 3-2 or 4-3 downshift with 6 psi , it is quite noticeable how much smoother and harder it pulled
Is this weird or is this normal? Only issue I had when running it is I got a p1133 code which is the front o2 that popped up 3 times in the 270 miles I put on.

Re: Running 110 Leaded race fuel daily
First off, Octane is a fuel's resistance to burn period.
Secondly, did you do anything else at the same time as the 110 that would be giving you a placebo effect from the 110?

Re: Running 110 Leaded race fuel daily
Basically are you asking about the placebo effect, your asking me if if it's just in my head because I had an expectation ?
If so. Well I did expect a difference. But no I don't think it was in my head. The numbers on the aeroforce showed it as well. I dunno what it was but it seemed to run better smoother, with near zero kr or movement of the gauge at all. Other than the dtc

I kinda modified Placebo. Was there anything else you did at the same time as putting in 110? Run Seafoam through the gas, put in a new O2, etc?

Nope.. I knew I was gonna get a new o2 when I got headers, so I didnt care abut burning this one out.. My cat is gone, and I didnt use any other additive.. just about 12-13 gallons of 93 topped off with 110

No, specifically it's a fuel's resistance to self igniting under temperature and pressure.00Beast wrote:First off, Octane is a fuel's resistance to burn period.
When there's a flame, it burns at the same rate regardless.

I don't know, but we still haven't solved your issue. You need to solve KR first, then we can mod.

Something else to look at....
http://www.rockettbrand.com/techsupport ... gChart.pdf
It will get pricey if you go this route. Theres got to be another issue if you are still having severe KR problems.
