I have two 12's in my trunk and they cause the compass to work occasionally.
Has anyone relocated the compass? or is there some other way I can get rid of that annoying calibrate compass message?
As not pushing the select button to clear it every time I start the car would be nice!

Re: Compass
We used to have a Techinfo article on the subject, but I think a pair of 12's puts you well out of the realm of re-locating the unit within the bounds of the factory harness length for any benefit.

Re: Compass
You could try to magnetically shield the speakers instead. This is one article on a cheap and relatively easy method.

Re: Compass
The last 2000 I parted out had the compass module relocated to the battery area. I didn't inspect it enough to see if they lengthened the wires, or just unwrapped it from the original harness.
