P0171 i just cant find the problem

There's supposed to be a little foam filter on that opening on the BCS. It shouldn't hurt anything to run without it. You can try pulling off a few of the vacuum lines & plug the engine side of the line to see if the 16.4 gets better. Do this check on the line to the brake booster, EVAP & the line that goes to the HVAC vacuum reservoir. If those all seem good then I'd take another look at that EGR pipe.

When I had my P0171 the stove pipe from the lim to the egr was the culpret. However, like you, my LTFTs are still around 14 @idle and 6.4 @ 2500 rpm. No more P0171 but P0300 came soon after. Do you have that code or any others. I'm assuming that if the spark isn't right the pcm will adjust fuel accordingly. What is your timing advance like throughout your rpm range.

i just replaced the stove pipe and no i made my STFT go from 20.3 to 0.8 - 3.9 and i dont have any codes at all. I havent seen my check engine light since i changed the EGR tube and im not sure hoe to answer that last question
