ok so lets all guss what could be causing all of the following with my 1999 bonneville ssei shall we
1 wile driving and go to pass (wot) car stalls
2 now wile giving the car normal gas to get up to 30 mph the car stalls
3 there is more smoke then usal comming from the exhaust
4 the smoke from the ehxaust smells sweet
5 when in park the car starts reving to 1500-1900 by its self and when given gas she stalls

who will win this game .. i dont know but who ever it is will have hellped me very much find out whats wrong with bonnie
the following ar my guss

fuel filter
fuel filter and plugs/wires
injector cleaner
head gasket
throtel sensor

I'm guessing intake gaskets. How much coolant are you losing?

All the symptoms fit. The gaskets when failed will cause a (huge) vacuum leak, which will cause your high idle and stalling, and the coolant will be going into the cylinder, causing your sweet smell. I wouldn't drive it until you get it fixed unless you want to be replacing the entire engine...

how long would this take then to do it ... could a person without a shop with decent weather do this by them self in a day or would it be a weekend project

....well im thinking of putting my crown vioc back on the road and taking care of this over the winter and give her some go fast goodies aswell ....

It's about an 8 hour job. If you can do basic maintenance, you can do this. The hardest part by far is getting the old gasket remnants off of the intake and heads.

and she lives ... she was at the shop frfom 10 am til 405 pm today cost me 170 and that was for labour 6 plugs and some bolts .. come to find out the maf was messed .. well it is fixed temparail ... i never knew this is the power bonnies have got ...its like i got a whole new car ...

dont know ... guss it was some bolts when they were trying to fix stuff on the bonevile ...y u ask ?

Unless bolts were missing, I don't see why they would need to replace some bolts. With a sweet smell to the exhaust, that is an indication of coolant being burnt internally in the engine.

its not loosing any coolent tho ...and we could only smell it from the inside of the car ... it turned out there is a small leak in the heather core that is cause the smell ...it comes and gose
