ABS & Traction stays on

Post by Kevin Amstutz »

My 98 has the ABS and Traction control light that stays on. During intial key on, the ABS & traction light will not flash, steady on. Both of my wheel sensors are at 1050 & 1100 ohms, which are in spec. Max fuse on firewall and interior fuse panel is good. Any other ideas?

Check the resistance of the wiring to them. Being in WI, you could have a wire that's corroded through.

The manual says to rotate the wheel and check the wheel bearing connector end for 100mv. I put the car in gear to spin the wheels and with my Fluke meter set at the 300mv selection, both sides read 0 mv. I can't see any problems with the wires or connections. Anymore ideas?
