What would you use?

I have a couple paint chips I'd like to fix. Question is what type of application should I use? The paint pen, the bottle with I believe has a brush or the aresol can. Here are some pics of the 2 areas that need fixed!

If you can find a pen/bottle in the right color that would be your best option.

Pens really only work for long scratches where you need to draw a line. I would use a small brush on those chips.

Yup, buy the 1/2 ounce bottle with brush, that will be PLENTY.

Will I need the primer bottle or will the paint and clearcoat bottles be enough?

I've only ever used just the paint, no primer or clear, and it worked great.

I would use the brush type paint to fix that. Just did a similar repair on the door edge and the paint matched really well. I got my paint from www.touchuppaintonline.com along with clearcoat. I would recommend getting the clearcoat since it makes the paint glossier and matches better.

Actually we are pretty much hosed with the Crimsom Tintcoat. Blending the paint to match is next to impossible.

I would do a full monty detail and see how it looks. If you can live with the results then seal it up and wax it. Otherwise you will need a repaint.

How many miles do you have on the GXP?

I bought the paint and its here I was wondering if it would match up good. based on haro's comments I didn't order the clear coat. I wanna get a full blown detail but I haven't got around to looking into a place and I don't want just anybody with a buffer on my car lol

I bought the car with 12k on it and I now have 35k and that was 3 and half years ago!

edit: after looking at the pics again I think you are looking at all those nick like spots on the paint? but that was dirt or something because I washed the car and those spots are gone. the spots I'm referring to are actual chips in the paint right on the crease of the fender by the hood that can't be buffed out.

Take your time with the large chips and use the top coat very sparengly.

Congrats on keeping the miles off the car. I have just a tad over 70K on my 04 SLE.

Clean them out with isopropyl alcohol and paint.

I touched up 2 spots on my car and the touch up always seems a little bit darker that the original paint.

Just the other day when I read that I saw he had 07 as his year and was like thats odd. and I saw he had 2 posts both in my thread lol! idk if its spam but I already bought the paint from somewhere else even before he 1st mentioned that site
