has a new starter works fine when you jump solenoid with wire to battery
but you plug the harness into it and wont start
could it be bad ignition or what
i am lost with this been working on it for two day so any info
would help

Try to get ahold of the schematic for your starting circuit...you either have a fuse/relay that is bad or an ignition switch issue. Not familiar with Volkswagons, but this is a good bet!
