Hello All,
This is my first time on the forum and this looks like a fine forum, lots of good info here.
OK, I have a 1990 Bonneville SSE and my compass and drivers info center quite working. I took the dash off and checked the wiring their and all is ok as far as I could see. The dash lights work but the LED on both instruments went out at the same time. When the door is opened the Chime comes on like it always have but no indication on the driver info center. No green and red LED lights. I checked fuses and all is ok their also. Is there something I missed? Any help with this would much be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Dan

Do you have a service manual? You should start by veiwing a schematic and checking all the associated powers AND grounds at the connector.

Re: Compass & Drivers Information Center LED Light Problem
the issue is in the cluster itself, very common on the 88-91 gen. the short is in the plastic ribbon/board that runs accross the back of the cluster
