My Cleaning Kit Includes...

Post by Wellintr »

I get pretty serious when it comes to clean. I am so neat and OCD with my things that they offten look like they are new. I have to keep my cell phone in an Oakley Plutonite lense bag so it stays looking nice. Everyone I know realy makes fun of me but its in good humor. I am often asked to open my trunk to reveal my car cleaning kit. It consists of 1 police issue duty bag filled with;
-California car duster for spring pollen season
-Windshield cleaner W/spray bottle (as seen on tv version) works well on inside
-K&N Recharger Kit
-Brush for Wheels gets brake dust off all the way in
-Micro fiber cleaning sponge gets personal instead of using a hand wand
-Magic eraser from mr clean- Gets all scuffs and shoe marks off any plastic trim piece in the car
-Armoral Original- for plasic only trim and engine bay
-Beaver BPK2K -nonchlorinated high performance degreaser Spot clean on my Engine or heavy road grime

-Forever Black bumber and trim dye used on black trim
-Extra light bulbs(never can be too prepaired)
-Touch up paint duh!
-Chamois To dry the car to a spot free shine every time! the bigger the better 18x18
-Lots of Micro fiber cloths because they have no end to there use
-A variaty of Detail brushes for vents and other small areas inside and out
Image
-Wizards car care products -was given this and I only use the bug remover works well though
-Meguiars: Clay Kit use twice a year and spot treatment if I find stubborn deposits
-Quick interior detailer seats arm rest doors
-Nxt Generation Car wash **Dish soap is a wax striper** for thoes who do not know use dish soap before new coats of wax to strip off any remaining old wax
-Quik Detailer main use is for Clay bar treatment but it cleans up paint well between washes
-Cleaner wax I use this 4 to 5 times a year, but I wash my car more than the average bonnivillian
Image
-Wet shine tire spray only when I realy want to show off
-Hot Rims All Wheel cleaner best stuff for getting thoes rims back to chrome it says to spray and let sit but I find a little help with the brush gets the job done better.

Any questions ask away...

I follow the Manufacturers sugested guidelines on all products and use them for there intended use only. I have tried a multitude of other products and have found the Meguiars line to be the most reliabel and cost effective on the market.

I want to use this post to open discussion on perfered products for specific areas of your vehicle, reasons for product use, why the preference, and for other product stories you might have, if any, and did you find them usefull or not worth the money spent.

Armorall is aweful for your car. It dries the stuff out and leaves films, residue.

Get some aerospace protectant.

I will try that out, but I only use armoral on plastic and hoses under the hood as well as the plastic motor shroud, air intake box, and molding in the engine bay and thats it. I truly dont trust anything but the GM recomended mild soap and warm water to clean anything inside, like the seats and dash. but armoral is for under the hood only for me, thanks for the tip

Thanks for writing this up! I think it is a very helpful list to refer back to.

Oh, and you have a beautiful car.
