Frik it! You only live once. I'm driving the Firebird and Laura is driving the Bonne!
We just came back from a fantastic three week vacation in Ontario and my mood is glorious!
Now I have to decide which set of drag tires to bring.
Ohhhhh, there will be tire smoke in Corvallis this summer!!!!!!
Hey Bill, are you still alive?? I've been trying to PM and text you but you seem to be DOA. .......or did you uncork the whine.

Don't hold your breath for PDad either......Way too many things going on this year, such as going to Toronto....Sorry, family is far more important.
Paul, I know you love WCBF, and thanks for organizing, but perhaps it is time to change things up for next year.

Re: WCBF10 July 20 - 25
Not having BoneEvil there with O'Neil will be a real bummer. :sad5:
He can do both like I did and will.
Visiting family and friends back in Ontario is as priceless as going to WCBF.
I fear that the traditional Meet may disolve next year without some fresh blood and enthusiasm. Unfortuneately with the demise of the Bonneville and Pontiac that may be difficult.
Not thinking of next year yet. Looking forward to THIS year and hoping to make up for not being there last year!
There was NO WAY I could have made it last year with Victor at home prepping for flying his nest after 19 years.
Got the Firebird insured and on the road today. Almost forgot how much power it has........and how quickly it gobbles fuel. It gets about half the mileage as the SSEi
I was pleasantly surprised to count a total of 16 Flags for this years Meet so it seems like everyone will get one.
From the sound of things there will be an extra left over, so I may put it up for sale to any member who wants one after the Meet is over.
My cost was $20 per flag plus the $2. window post.
For me, this Meet, the cars and the members, NEVER get old.
It's a state of mind Nichole.
If O'Neil doesn't make it we'll all understand. He has been more absent on this forum than Bill these days.

Re: WCBF10 July 20 - 25
There is a reason for his absence, but that is not for me to say. Yes, Paul, O'Neil could do both, but, when you are carrying TWO mortgages, things tend to get a little tight, with it being a grad year, and a family reunion year, which I might add, we have done both. It is just not a good a time for us. A few people on the club know why he is not on here, and why he is not going to WCBF. I am not going because of several reasons, I LOVED meeting the people from this club, but I am not into just working on the cars, and sitting and taking over Bill and Lisa's house for the week. Plus, I love Oregon, everyone knows I love Oregon, but it is time to move on, time to see another part of the either of the countries. O'Neil started this meet, and it must speak volumes when the man who started it all, is not attending the meet............
Have fun everyone, I know you will, it is a great time.

That may explain why I haven't been able to make any contact with Bill the last month.
Now I'm having second thoughts............

Re: WCBF10 July 20 - 25
I think this year we should only do one track event. We need to decide which day. Friday test n' tune or Saturday Sportsman class competition?
Willwren = Zilla 93 SSEi & SLEeper 95 SLE - Not racing - Pit Crew
2000SilverBullet = 79 Formula T/A - No drag tires and only wants to see what she'll do, never having run it on a 1/4 mile track.
DriverJohn = 92 SSEi Gravenge - Not sure if he'll be bringing the Expedition and probably won't run the Gravenge
Myfirstbonnie = 89 LE & 00 SSEi (nursebonnie007) - Wants to run real bad
Boss455 = 99 Regal GS- Wants to take home the trophy with a win
VBCSpangler = 97 Z28 - Good competion for the Formula......Z28 is my arch rival!!!

Re: WCBF10 July 20 - 25
Laura my wife is opting out.
Family issues are forcing her to travel to Victoria to feed my starving son some home cooking.........but I think it has more to do with the Firebird not having A/C.
She's taking the Bullet all by herself.
I'm still coming down in the Firebird to feed my starving BC family some BEER!
Bonus - My drag tires will fit now!
