Help please
ok, my amp gets power, but i get no subs, when i plug in the remote they make a noise then do nothing, is it a bad ground? And if so, whats the best place to mount the ground if its 2.5' long and it hooks into the amp right by the left trunk arm, thanks for any feedback

Re: Help please
You need to be a little more specific.... please.
If your amp gets power, and shows that its on, then why would you need to re-ground it?
When you say that you plug in your remote, do you mean the Remote wire? (turn-on signal from the radio)
Best place to mount a ground is : Drill a hole somewheres SAFE, (preferrably a chassis ground) clean all of the paint off using a file or sand paper, and i believe you would use self-tappers to fasten it. I've seen alot of people use a seat bolt, but of course not in a bonnevile. (back seats don't have a bolt i dont think)

Do you have a Voltmeter?sepenator wrote:yes when i say remote, i mean the wire, but if my amp gets power then why arent the subs working?
If your amp shows that it is ON, and not in protection mode, then it could be something as simple as a speaker wire not connected from the amp to the box or from the box to the sub, or it could even be your RCA's. (going from radio to amp) Check and make sure everything is snug, and good.
If that doesnt help, some radios have a setting in it that can turn your amp on and off. What radio do you have? does it have more than one remote wire? if you have a automatic antenna,i would try tapping into that wire on the radio harness, too. (if you have one)
If all of this works fine, check the voltage on one of the +/-'s on the amp. (meaning where the sub goes to the amp)
Have you had this problem before? has the equipment worked before?
